(HealthNewsDigest.com) - IF YOU’RE FAT, IT’S YOUR OWN FAULT! That’s the message being preached by Steve Siebold, the nationally acclaimed motivational speaker and author. In his latest book, Die Fat or Get Tough: 101 Differences in Thinking Between Fat People and Fit People, there’s no holding back. Siebold lays the cards on the table and says today’s diluted society blames the food manufacturers, the restaurants, portion sizes, cortisol and thyroid glands. No more excuses! The truth is only you are responsible for your waistline, he says.

And if anyone should know, it’s Siebold. In the 70s, 80s and early 90s, he was a physical specimen working out every day, running five minute miles and competing on an international level. But by 2002, he became, as he says, “a FAT-TUB of LARD.” He was 40 pounds overweight and living on a diet of cheeseburgers, pizza and doughnuts. It finally hit him that he needed to change after he attended a wedding and old friends didn’t recognize him.

As one of the top-ranked motivational speakers presenting to fortune 500 companies on the topic of mental toughness, he decided to “get tough” himself. In just 12 weeks, Siebold shed 40 pounds and his waist shrunk to a size 32. Today he’s in the best shape of his life and so eager to share his success with anyone struggling to lose weight – he wrote a book about it.

Some chapters from Die Fat or Get Tough: 101 Differences in Thinking Between Fat People and Fit People include:

Fat people see themselves as failures.
Fat people are mentally unorganized.
Fat people quit easily.
Fat people see themselves as victims.
· Fat people lack hope

Siebold is the only author/speaker with this point of view and philosophy, and while considered controversial by some, it may be the only opportunity for people to hear the truth and be saved from an early grave, he says.
