A graduate of the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Cheryl prides herself on her accuracy and fairness. She has been honored numerous times for outstanding medical reporting, and is a frequent speaker at colleges and high schools around the five boroughs. Cheryl was born in a city hospital in Elmhurst, Queens, and grew up in the Rockaways. Prior to NY1, Cheryl worked at WNYW-Fox News in New York as a production assistant.
