( - 1.  Do your research.  Learn about the procedure and which surgeons are the most prolific with the Facelift procedure.  Next, schedule a consultation appointment with the top cosmetic surgeons of your choice.  Do not be afraid to speak to more than one doctor before you decide.

The Glasgold Group provides extensive literature on the Facelift, and other procedures, on our website.  Go to to read up on your potential procedure.

2.  Is the surgeon a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon?  This shows that a doctor has had specialized training in facial plastic cosmetic surgery.  Doctors with Board Certification have passed rigorous testing and continue to keep up their skills on a yearly basis.

Dr Mark and Dr Robert Glasgold are Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for Plastic Surgeons, American Board of Cosmetic Surgeons, as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

3.  How much experience does the surgeon have in performing the Facelift procedure?  Has he spent a significant amount of time building his Facelift techniques?  It is also valuable to ask how many Facelift procedures he has performed.

The Glasgold Group was one of the first practices in the country to adopt the Deep Plane Facelift, and have performed over 1000 of them.  Dr. Mark and Dr Robert have performed all of the different types of facelifts but choose to specialize in the Deep Plane Facelift because it provides the most natural and long lasting results.

4.  Your consultation appointment is an interview for the doctor.  Use this time to ask your procedure questions, learn about the recovery period, and realistic expectations.  During this time, you should assess your trust in the doctor and get a gut feeling about your compatibility.

The Glasgold Group located in central New Jersey are available for consultation appointments in both the Princeton and Highland Park offices. Each doctor will spend as much time as necessary with you; to answer questions; address concerns ; and review photos of previous patients (who have consented to having their pictures shown)who have had the procedure you are considering. At the end of the consultation you will have a realistic expectation of the results that can be achieved.  Call the office at 732.846.6540 to schedule your initial visit.

5.  Request to look a multiple Before/After photos of the surgeon's Facelift patients.  This will give you a chance to see the quality and style of their work.  The top cosmetic surgeon will have hundreds of photos to show you.

The Glasgold Group provides a large photo gallery online, for patients to look over in the comfort of their own home.  We provide the video diaries of some of our New Jersey Facelift patients on our site, as well.  In the office, the doctor will review additional before/after photos with you.  Check out our website at for more information.
