The most common sports injuries tends to be inflammation of tissues due to repetitive stress, such as tendonitis and bursitis,  Inflammation and the pain that accompanies it is very common for athletes - from activities like running, cycling, playing tennis and golfing.  Acupuncture and topical application of Chinese herbs can quickly reduce pain, swelling and inflammation of tendons in the knees, elbows, legs, shoulders and back.  Dr. Jeffres recommends, that with any sports injury, the earlier the treatment, the better.
