Brings Exceptional Expertise in Breast Reconstruction After Cancer

(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Marina del Rey, CA - March 16, 2013 - Michelle Spring, M.D., a board certified plastic surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates (www.marinaplasticsurgery.com) in Marina del Rey, CA, has joined the advisory board of directors of the Busted Foundation, Los Angeles.  The Busted Foundation aids women who are suffering financial hardships due to medical expenses from breast cancer treatment. Dr. Spring brings her medical background and advanced training in reconstructive breast surgery to the Foundation, as well as her experience with other medical nonprofit organizations. She has extensive experience performing breast lifts, breast augmentations, breast reductions and reconstructive surgery following breast cancer treatment.

"I am thrilled to join the board of this very important Foundation," said Dr. Spring. "Working with this nonprofit to aid those in medically related hardships through financial or educational assistance is extremely important to me."

Dr. Spring graduated Alpha Omega Alpha with a medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Public Health, followed by a full residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She traveled extensively abroad in underdeveloped countries such as Bangladesh, China and India, teaching and performing free reconstructive surgery on hundreds of patients with disfiguring burns and deformities such as cleft lips and palates, helping them lead a more normal life
