(HealthNewsDigest.com) -  Paramus, N.J. - If you've been putting off a wellness exam due to cost and you're a Medicare patient, you're in luck. Two local health organizations are welcoming patients for a health fair specifically targeted to seniors and offering free wellness exams during the day.

AFC/Doctors Express Paramus and Dellridge Health and Rehabilitation Center will hold a senior wellness exam and health fair Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center at 532 Farview Avenue in Paramus. The health fair offers seniors the opportunity to come and get their annual physical performed by local AFC/Doctors Express physician, Dr. Mary Anne Benigno.

All seniors on Medicare are eligible for the free wellness exams, which will include blood testing, ultrasound, balance testing, hearing exams, weight-bearing MRI, CT scans, pharmaceutical consulting from Paramus Pharmacy, diabetic screening, podiatry services, blood pressure screening and genetic DNA testing. All patients will receive a detailed wellness report, so follow up care can be scheduled if necessary. Reserve an exam time by calling John Criscione with AFC/Doctors Express Paramus at 210-262-2010 or email [email protected].

All exams will take place inside the center, and the health fair will be held outdoors. The fair will feature food and drinks, and local businesses will offer services to the public, including massage therapy by Harmony Within Massage and nutritional services by professionals. The Alliance for Senior Services and Aero Ambulance will also be on hand during the day's events.

This event is free and open to the public. Free wellness exams are for Medicare patients only.
