( - Washington, DC - June 9, 2014 - Pharmacists United for Truth and Transparency (PUTT) todayreleased a new ad that highlights the benefits independent community pharmacists provide consumers, employers and plan sponsors.

PUTT and its more than 1,000 members across the U.S. are using these ads to expose the truth behind malicious and misleading attacks they are facing from large, corporate pharmacy benefit managers and special interests.

"Community pharmacists provide personal health care on level no corporate PBM can compete with. We hold a belief that control of a prescription drug benefits should be in the hands of the consumer, not big corporations," said PUTT President Jason Wallace, Pharm.D.

Pharmacists United for Truth and Transparency (PUTT) is an independent watchdog organization dedicated to exposing the role pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs) play in driving up prescription drug costs for consumers and employers.
