(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Are you ready to give up on your career? Has hearing the word no repeatedly got you down? Are you working hard, but not seeing the results you want yet?

What have you specifically given up on? The hopes for a new job, new career, or that your present job will get better?

If you feel like giving up, it's ok. It is a normal reaction to a situation that doesn't seem to be improving. It's ok to feel down about your career. But, don't give up. You can love your career again.

So, How Do You Not Give Up On Your Career? Follow These 3 Steps Below.

1. Recognize That You Want To Give Up

Ok, now, be honest. You want to give up. Yes, it's finally been said. You don't have to conceal it anymore. Do you feel better? Good for you. What you hide persists and does damage to your well-being, thought process, and motivation level. Letting the truth out sets you free and gives you the ability to do something about your situation.

Guess what? Everyone feels like giving up from time to time. This just happens to be a point in your career when it's your turn. It doesn't mean that you will feel this way forever, but you do feel this way currently. You can't fix what you don't admit, so now that the secret is out, the power it has over you disappears.

2. Decide To Try Again

Life (and your career) sometimes is about falling off the horse and getting back on. It's about trying again because staying on the ground is not fun. And, it's dirty. What will you try again? Will you send out another resume because it may be the one that gets you the job you really want? Will you meet with someone who can help you decide on a new career path? Will you have a conversation with a person at work that is making you upset or angry? Give your career another shot because it's important to you and you want it to be great again.

3. Focus On What You Do Have Versus What's Missing

Your thoughts determine how you feel about things. If you think about the bad, you will feel bad. If you think about the good, you will feel good. Even if your career is not perfect at the moment, there are things you can appreciate. What is good about your career? Are you grateful for having a job or having a break from one? Are you grateful for the people in your life who understand and support you? Are you grateful that today is a brand new day and anything can happen? Every situation has a beginning, middle, and an end. Your present situation will eventually change, and your thoughts and actions will influence the direction of that change. And, until that happens, focus on what you do have and forget about what you don't. You will feel better and you will have the motivation to keep going after what you want. And when you work towards a goal, no matter what you are faced with, that's when you are able to achieve it.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!
