(HealthNewsDigest.com) - New York, NY (September 20th, 2012)—More than 6,000 men, women and kids packed Central Park to participate in the eleventh-annual FITNESS Magazine Mind, Body, Spirit Games, in partnership with New York Road Runners. This fun filled day devoted to health and fitness featured activities for the whole family, including both a men’s and women’s 4-Mile run along with kids’ races (age 2-12). The event was sponsored by Birkenstock and Sun-Maid.

Before, during and after the races, festival goers enjoyed pop-up classes from Pure Barre, SurfSET and Training Camp by Holly Rilinger, free gift bags and samples, exciting giveaways and live music. Hilaria Thomas Baldwin also taught two exclusive yoga classes to eager participants, who were practicing yoga on their mats on the lawn when space ran out near the stage. Hilaria talked about the importance of yoga in her life and how it’s “The one thing I do every day.”

For the men’s race, the first place winner, John Polson finished with a time of 19:50, while Reilly Kiernan, finished with a time of 23:02 for the women’s race.
