(HealthNewsDigest.com) - When the going gets tough, the tough get beautiful. And why not? Numerous studies have documented the power of looking your very best as being one of the most important attributes for success in the job market. Think of it this way. If there is a choice between two people and one simply looks their very best, who do you think will get the client?

And so in this competitive job market, I am seeing more and more patients looking for new ways to get a leg up on their competition. More men and women are trying not only to survive in the workplace but also to thrive. And to do so, they need to look as good as possible. Add to this the fact that they may find themselves competing with younger people for the same position, it’s now more important than ever to put their proverbial best face forward. In response to this, I have seen a dramatic upward spike in the number of new and existing clients asking for specific services to help them look and feel their very best. Whether they are searching for new employment opportunities or simply trying to achieve a higher level of success in their current jobs, many are turning to cost-effective strategies with little to no downtime to boost their image and marketability. And because of dramatic advances in technology, many of these cosmetic procedures allow for quicker results without the traditional downtime associated with scalpel-based fixes.

Some examples of this include light laser peels, volume restoration, medical skincare, and the old stand-by, BOTOX Cosmetic. In the last year, I have seen a dramatic influx in the demand for not only these individual procedures but also combination packages thereof. For example, many clients in their late 30’s to early 40’s benefit from volume restoration to their medial and lateral cheeks via the process of deep cheek volumization. This revolutionary new procedure involves deep injection of either Hyaluronic acid or collagen-based fillers into the subcutaneous plane or deeper along the cheekline. The result is an effective replacement of lost volume with a natural lifting effect of both the cheek as well as the nasolabial fold. Clients who may have previously undergone injection just to the nasolabial fold are literally blown away by the more natural effects of this procedure and walk away looking years younger in less than 15 minutes. The lunch hour lift is now a reality with minimal pain, bruising, and downtime. The only side-effect is a dramatic lifting of self-confidence and a new-found swagger in their step. Now add to this new volume tighter, more refined skin (vis-a vis medical skin care and a fractionated laser peel), and you have a process to effectively remove years of facial aging with little trauma to the wallet.

While the economy may have taken a downturn, the show must goes on. And to compete requires that you stay on your feet not only as best as possible but better than your competition. Because of this, minimally invasive aesthetic procedures continue to see increasing demand and BOTOX Cosmetic remains on many people’s lips…literally! The secret weapon is only your personal Plastic Surgeon away and the new American executive has their number on speed-dial.
