(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Bridgewater, New Jersey - Applegate, Stonyfield and Annie's, Inc., three of the leading brands in the natural and organic channel, announced they are teaming up this fall to give moms and dads what they have been asking for: HALF TIME, a pre-packed lunch kit with natural and organic ingredients.

Applegate HALF TIME comes in three varieties, Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Cheese, and Bologna & Cheese, and will be available nationwide in early August at fine food retailers such as Target, BJ's and Safeway.

"Many parents love the convenience of pre-packed lunch kits, but not necessarily the ingredients," said Neil Leinwand, Applegate senior vice president of marketing. "With HALF TIME, we're able to give parents confidence by combining the three trusted natural and organic brands that are already in their refrigerators and pantries and putting them in one place."

Leinwand added that Applegate regularly receives emails or phone calls from consumers asking the company to create a pre-packed lunch kit.

HALF TIME has a suggested retail price of $4.99, and all kits include: Applegate Naturals meats, which have no artificial ingredients or preservatives and are antibiotic free; Applegate American cheese; made with no added hormones; Stonyfield YoKids Squeezers Strawberry Organic Lowfat Yogurt, and Annie's Homegrown Buttery Rich Crackers.  Each kit also contains either Annie's Organic Bunny Graham Friends or Annie's Organic Berry Patch Fruit Snacks.

"Applegate is so proud to have two top brands join us in creating a product that adds value to our consumers' lives while maintaining the values of natural, organic and real food," said Leinwand.
