"Everyone is invited to participate in the Run/Walk events to support people living with epilepsy in their community," said Brent Herrmann, CEO. "We are thrilled to have eight cities participating in this annual event to help bring awareness and funds to people in need."
Proceeds from the multi-city walks support uncompensated programs and services including Camp Discovery for children with epilepsy and their siblings, year-round educational and support groups, self-advocacy and mentoring programs, emergency medication assistance, and seizure response training programs for school nurses and personnel, first responders and employers.
The Northwest Run/Walk for Epilepsy in Anchorage is hosted by the Stone Soup Group, in Tri-Cities by the Arc of Tri-Cities, and in Hermiston by the Arc of Umatilla County.
