McCarthy explains, “My YogaBody dvd is designed to introduce students to a yoga practice that produces a lean, defined & flexible outer body and a light, free & relaxed inner body. The Lean & Defined Workout is the first step to a YogaBody for those new to yoga. The bonus Fire Up Flow Workout gives them a series to challenge themselves more once they are ready. Lean & Defined is a vinyasa style practice in that it connects the breath with the movement, however it does not have the traditional Ashtanga Sun Salutations since those can be challenging for beginners.”

Stacy McCarthy is a certified yoga teacher with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science and teaching credentials in Physical Education from Colorado State University. . She has been teaching yoga and general fitness for over twenty years and has been studying ashtanga yoga since 1992 studying under Dominic Corigliano and Sri K. Phattabi Jois. Stacy is certified by the American Council on Exercise and is the former Chief Operating Officer for Frog's Athletic Clubs and Regional Group Exercise Director for Club One. She has been teaching workshops and master classes since 1998 and was the Program Director for the 2003 International Yoga Conference in Los Angeles. She was first nationally ranked as a swimmer at age 14 as a freshman in high school and competed in the Olympic Trails at age 15. She attended Colorado State University on a full swimming scholarship, where she became an All American. She made the Olympic trials for swimming at age 15 and was the #1 ranked female.
