Make the Most of Your Walking Workouts
DVD from - Fitness Expert Tracey Staehle

(HealthNewsDigest.com) - Weatogue, CT –Millions of people enjoy walking for their health and it’s easy to understand why. Walking can be done anywhere, indoors or out, without any special equipment. Fitness expert Tracey Staehle has created her “Fit by Tracey - Walking Strong” DVD (55 minutes, $19.99, www.fitbytracey.com ) so those who love to walk can make the most of each minute. Not only does it provide heart-healthy cardio benefits, it adds total body toning to sculpt muscle and build strength. It can be done with a treadmill or without. Dread that tread? This walk will literally keep you on your toes as each minute offers a new twist in intensity. Either the footwork, tempo or incline changes so things never get dull. Modifications are offered to make it work for all fitness levels. Staehle designed the workout to be effective, challenging and fun…no matter what shape you’re in.

“Fit by Tracey - Walking Strong” is broken down into eleven five-minute segments beginning with a short but complete warm up session and ending with the necessary cool down period. Segments alternate between cardio walks and strength walks where resistance training happens while the feet keep going. The workout may be played straight through or viewers may play it segment by segment to suit their needs. Tracey’s clear narrative and instruction constantly reinforce and motivate the viewer. Tracey demonstrates the most advanced version of the workout on a treadmill while her sister Bobbi offers a less intense version, also on a treadmill. Their friend Jill demonstrates the entire workout on the floor; no treadmill needed. Lightweight dumbbells are recommended.
