(HealthNewsDigest.com) - From sagging eyelids to puny lashes and lowered brows, you can achieve a significant degree of eyelid rejuvenation with a variety of treatments, even if you are not anxious to have surgery just yet.

A surgical eyelift from a top plastic surgeon may cost from $5,000 - $8,000, but the results can last for a decade. If you can see folds of excess skin on your upper eyelids and fatty bags on your lower eyelids, surgery may be the best choice to create a younger look. However, there are alternatives that can make a big difference. Wrinkle relaxers like Botox® Cosmetic (www.botoxcosmetic.com) and Dysport (www.dysport.com) can soften the activity of facial muscles that pull brows down closer to your upper eyelids. When these muscles are relaxed, the eyebrows and eyelids can get a subtle lift that produces a more wide-eyed open look, like a chemical browlift. The treatment also works brilliantly to reduce crow’s feet and creases between the brows from squinting and furrowing. Deep tear troughs under the eyes can cause hollows and dark circles from shadows. These can be reduced by injection of fillers such as Juvéderm XC (www.juvederm.com), Restylane-L (www.restylaneusa.com), or your own fat. Fat can be taken from your hips or tummy, processed and then placed in hollow areas to add fullness. By filling in under eye grooves, your eyes can look much less tired and sad. Another solution to address fine wrinkles around the eyelid area is the new Pelleve Wrinkle Reduction System (www.pelleve.com). In one to three sessions without any downtime, Pelleve can help to reduce lines and wrinkles and tighten up slack skin around the eyes.

For dark, long, luscious lashes, Latisse™ (www.latisse.com) has become a coveted beauty agent. Available by prescription from your doctor only, you use a drop of Latisse™ on the applicator and apply directly to your lash line, where the eyelashes meet the eyelid, just once daily to start with. You can taper off after you reach full results to a few times a week for maintenance. Another innovation for youthful bedroom eyes is LashDip™ (www.lashdip.com), a new semi-permanent mascara service available exclusively at top salons and spas. One treatment with LashDip™ can give you glossy, dramatic lashes and lasts four to six weeks.

Lastly, using the right eye products and daily SPF 30 consistently will also help keep wrinkles at bay. For extra dry skin in need of tightening and brightening up, try Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massager with its own little magic rollerball (www.clinique.com). Or have a look at Clarisonic Opal Infusion System (www.sephora.com) that infuses a mineral rich anti-aging serum into your crow’s feet and crepey skin to smooth and perfect.
